Federal Supply Code 2810, Gasoline Reciprocating Engines, Aircraft Prime Mover; and Components, is comprised of engines, parts, and components related to gasoline reciprocating engines, otherwise known as piston engines, specifically designed for aircraft prime movers. Reciprocating engines are defined by the use of one or more reciprocating pistons that convert pressure into rotating motion. FSC 2810 includes complete engine assemblies; piston rings; pistons; cylinders; camshafts; and crankshafts. Note that FSC 2810 does not include engine accessories such as fuel system components; electrical system components; engine cooling system components; engine air and oil filters, cleaners, and strainers; or miscellaneous engine accessories.
